Since this blog is so short, a few fun facts:

  • In the last three years, the team that has beat the Flyers have won the cup (Pittsburgh, Chicago, Boston)…just some food for thought.
  • The Devils have eliminated the Flyers two other times, in 1995 and 2000, and both times, they won the cup.
  • The Philadelphia Flyers went 0-7 when scoring first through these 2012 playoffs.
  • The Los Angeles Kings are the first team in NHL history to come in at the 8th seed of the playoffs and take out the first and second seeds of their conference.
  • The Kings have advanced to the Western Conference Final for only the second time in franchise history (the team debuted in 1967).
  • The Phoenix Coyotes won the Pacific Division Title this season, the first time the team has ever won a Division Title.
  • The Phoenix Coyotes have never been to a Conference Final.
  • In the first round series between the Coyotes and Blackhawks, the first five games went into overtime. This ties the record held by the Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs, who did it in the Stanley Cup Final in 1951.
  • The Washington Capitals have eliminated the New York Rangers from the Stanley Cup playoffs twice in the last five years.
  • In the first round series between the Capitals and the Bruins,¬†the teams completed an entire 7 game playoff series without more than a one goal differential per game, the first time in NHL history.

And here’s some hotties for you, too. Zach Parise and Adam Henrique – enjoy!
