March 13th, 2013: Jaromir Jagr

In Uncategorized on March 13, 2013 at 12:52 pm

Jaromir Jagr

Dallas Stars

Age: 41

Position: Right Wing

I know, right? He does not look his age. Those Czechs, I tell ya. This beautiful man was a star in the NHL throughout the 1990s with the Pittsburgh Penguins, and ironically enough, is a Star today (get it?). I, for one, am ecstatic that he has ditched his mullet for the more sophisticated, clean-cut and boyish ‘do he sports as of his return to the league in 2011. The haircut goes perfectly with his baby face and makes him look 15 years younger. In his last five games, Jaromir has scored five goals, three of which were on the powerplay. Obviously head coach Glen Gulutzan recognizes what the entire league recognizes, Jagr’s still got it, or he wouldn’t be putting a 41-year-old on special teams. Blahopřeji, Jaromir! (So glad you’re not a Flyer anymore).

March 7th, 2013: Sidney Crosby

Sorry, it’s midterms week. 2010 NHL Awards - Arrivals

Sidney Crosby
Pittsburgh Penguins

Age: 25
Position: Center

What can I say? One of the most handsome hockey players in the world is also considered one of the best. Eye candy by nearly everyone’s standards, Sid is always presentable (unless it’s playoff season, in which case he is usually pretty scruffy, but who isn’t?). Aside from his appealing facial features and classy appearance, he is incredibly muscular. I don’t know about you, ladies, but muscles are pretty much my favorite. Sidney may only be 5’11, but he is 200 lbs of pure muscular perfection. Let me tell ya, I would give anything to see those abs in person. I may not even be able to handle it, but I’d be willing to give it a shot. The kid is simply on fire lately. In his last five games, Sidney has notched at least one point in each, totaling for four goals and seven assists, and not a single penalty minute. Through the five games he is +3 and is currently +11 on the season. Congratulations, Sidney!

February 27th, 2013: Roman Josi

Yeah, I missed Monday. Oh well.

Nashville Predators Headshots

Roman Josi
Nashville Predators

Age: 22
Position: Defense

Oh, how I love the Swiss. Roman is a beautiful man by any woman’s standards – he’s got that suave, heart-breaker vibe working for him in all areas. His hair is a hot mess, his eyes are dreamy, he has incredible bone structure and that tiny tuft of hair on his chin makes him absolutely irresistible!  Defensemen are a rare sight in this blog, because generally they do most of their work in their own zone (of course). The game needs defense, but my hands are tied by my own rules; however, to my great pleasure, Roman has made the list! In his last five games, Roman has recorded 13 shots on goal, two assists, and 3 goals. Not bad at all for a blue-liner! Not to mention, two of those three goals came in the same game both assists. I guess he just had Nilstorp’s number. Roman is also very effective at his post on the blue-line and boasts a +5 on the season so far through twenty games. Congratulations, Roman!

February 20th, 2013: Matt Duchene

The Colorado Avalanche

Matt Duchene
Colorado Avalanche

Age: 22
Position: Center

This charming young hottie has more than earned his spot in the inaugural post of 2013. Matt Duchene has a handsome face, good flow, and stunning bronze eyes. Best of all, the kid can absolutely tear up the rink. In his last five games, Matt has scored four goals as well as tallied four assists. He is the first Avalanche player since 2010 to notch back-to-back three point contests. He has 13 shots on goal, only spent two minutes in the box and boasts a +6 on the season thus far. He is one of the most productive men in the league right now, and you can expect he will not slow down. The Avalanche may have lost out in the Ryan O’Reilly department, but Matt Duchene is stepping up in a big way this year, so Colorado is in good hands. Welcome back to the NHL and my hottie blog, Matt!

New Beginning!

In Uncategorized on February 20, 2013 at 4:01 pm

Happy Wednesday, readers! Yes, I am aware that the NHL season started a month ago now and one could make the argument that I could have continued posting hotties from the AHL, KHL and the like during the lockout, but hey. I’m back. That’s all that matters.

Since the season is shortened and I’m a little late to the party but we all still need our hot hockey player fix, I will from now on be posting two hotties per week. One hottie on Monday, one hottie on Wednesday. Initial rules still apply: must be physically attractive, must have done something substantial in his last five games, limit one selection per month.

Now, if you’ll excuse me. I have an inaugural 2013 hottie to find for you. ENJOY.
